could someone please give me an example of how to put a link in my newsbox, I don't understand or the other functions available.

news box uses bb tags so
http://www.simplemachines.org (http://www.simplemachines.org) would be [url]http://www.simplemachines.org[/url]
and
Simple Machines (http://www.simplemachines.org) would be [url=http://www.simplemachines.org]Simple Machines[/url]
