I'm switching from a 3rd party user management system for my website to SMF driven code. One thing I will miss will be users who are redirected based on what group they are part of.
Setting the link is done via the profile, and it's a field that is only visible to the admin. It also has an option in the admin panel where you can make the group setting the default or just have it default to the homepage. Obviously you can switch it manually as well.
