The server is NOT too busy. I'm just having a problem with SMF I just installed.

Wrong database settings in Settings.php probably

Has your forum ever worked, or has it been this way ever since you installed it?  What version are you using, and where did you get it from?

Ahh, you were right mytreo. It was Settings.php. Thanks. ;)

SMF people: The error message really should be more descriptive (i.e. accurate).
