Otsikko: I've searched, read and tried, but changing a banner/logo still isn't woking

I'm using the Classic yaBB SE theme, and I want to change the SMF graphic in the top box/frame to a custom graphic I created. I followed directions I found in SMF site searches, but the best I could get is for the SMF logo to diappear, but I could not get my logo to insert.

First, I substituted my own logo file name for the smflogo.gif file in here:

/ The logo, user information, news, and menu.
   echo '
   <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="center" width="95%" class="tborder">
      <tr style="background-color: #ffffff;">
         <td valign="middle" align="left"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/duluthsolutions.gif" alt="" /></td>
         <td valign="middle">';

Then I uploaded my logo file to the images folder for the theme. The smf logo to disappeared, but my logo didn't appear.

Help?
