Title: SMF Graphics Archive (outdated)
Post by: Tomer on April 17, 2004, 09:09:06 AM
Here I gathered all the graphics users have made and submitted in this board (Graphics/Templates).
I hope somone can sticky this thread, it will be a summary of all the themes, button sets, folder icons, smiley sets, and any other graphics for SMF made. Mods can also update this thread.

It basically makes it easier to find graphics that were posted.

PLEASE NOTE, ONLY COMPLETE AND WORKING BUTTON SETS, THEMES AND SMILIEY SETS ARE ENTERED!

If you see a mistake of some kind with the HTML or if there is a dead link, please tell me and I will fix it.

PLEASE NOTE, ONLY COMPLETE AND WORKING BUTTON SETS, THEMES AND SMILIEY SETS ARE ENTERED!

Thanks goes to Caddish for adding the sample buttons.

I'm soon to have a theme on the loose!

I'm thinking a Blue/Grey/Black theme.

Anyone want to make some dark buttons for it?

I think so, but only when I finish Mambo.

Its like an unwritten law, when you make a new theme, you make new buttons with it also.

I think the general rule is: Dn't use it if it came in the SMF zip.

And I like Andrea's dark buttons.

But I've got colored YaBB SE buttons I think I'd rather use.

It's 'smileys' because 'e before y' endings normally stay that way for the plural...

So donkey, jockey and monkey become donkeys, jockeys and monkeys, but country, filly and harpy become countries, fillies and harpies.

All links contain a preview in their 1st place. I think it is not to much work to click a link and look at the preview.... If someone is to lazy to click the link then he or her does not deserve the theme or graphics which are available in the link...

Yes that would be hard, I would only be able to do it with buttons and smileys, and maybe also themes if I posted there thumbnail.

Maybe you want to do it? I will send you the BBC code and you will add the image and I will update it after that?

Thats good news Andrea  :) ........ I'm just designing my own graphics for smf and it's good to have another free  images web site for simple machines forum. I'm just trying to make graphics that look more professional, clean, suitable,  and easy to use.

I'm just killing some time and my real job is construction  ;D

So what's the status on the graphics repository? When I click on the graphics link on the main menu I get the home page...same with some of the other links.

I've been scanning the forums for different skins and it seems they are just kind of scattered. Of course...I might just be missing something obvious!  ::)

Is there one place where all the available skins are posted?

FWIW if you don't make this site a central repository for all things SMF, then you'll wind up like the plethora of CMS' with 'fan sites' spread all over the web, making it virtually impossible for users to source things like graphics, templates, hacks and add-ons as each fan site tries to 'grab a corner of the market.'

SMF is still in the beta stages, you might be surprised at how much is in the works but just not accessable publicly yet.

Since this overview is out of date I am unstickying it.

Authors of full themes, button sets or other graphic sets (such as smiley sets, stars, etc.) please post your own entry in the appropriate graphics overview thread:

Graphics: Themes (Skins) for SMF 1.0 RC1   (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=15620.0)
Graphics: Button Sets (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=15621.0)
Graphics: Other such as Smiley sets, stars, bbc or post icons etc. (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=15622.0)

Please only post links to themes which are compatible with RC1. It is important that you add your own post into the overview threads - such that you can modify that post in order to keep the information current.
