I installed SMF 1.1 RC2 a few days ago,and I tried to install some new themes. But when I try to use any, http://img277.imageshack.us/img277/2999/themesproblem3ca.jpg
Yes,they are compatible with 1.1 RC2.I don't know why this problem persists.
I know this is a bit out of place, but is there any upgrade from 1.1 RC2 directly to 1.0.7?Probably then it'll work.Or maybe I took it wrong, and 1.1 rc 2 is newer than 1.0.7,and in that case,is there a "downgrade" ?
No, downgrades do not exist. You best bet is to start over unfortunately.
But I see you are having trouble with the Cerberus theme of mine..how did you install it? Through admin panel or ftp?

admin panel
And I switched to 1.1 rc2 cause 1.0.7 had a problem with the index.php...can I use one of the smf versions on the archived releases?I didn't quite get what they meant by : "The following files are archived releases and tools. Please do not use these in a production environment unless you have good reason to."
This happened to me once, but it was because the folder I uploaded through admin panle wasn't the folder that contained the files... instead it had another folder in it which containd them... so...
Template Name > Actual Template > All Template Files
Archived releases is not advised to use, because they aren't official anymore and may even contain unresolved bugs and errors. The most recent stable version is 1.0.7 and the most recent beta version is 1.1RC2. "beta" just means it can still contain errors, but since its on "RC2" or Relase Candidate 2 its getting near a stable version.
