Hello, I am looking to convert my vbulletin 3.5.4 to SMF, I downloaded the 1.0.5 version and I did everything but I get this message:
Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of vBulletin 3. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.
What does this mean, how can I fix it? Any help or suggestions would be great!
Also the Path to my vbulletin is Home/dg0896/public_html/forum and SMF is Home/dg0896/public_html/forums
Thanks for any help given! :)
And also, yes I am using the vbulletin3 converter.
Add the SMF database user to the vB database. Or just make the same user for both.
It already is, I will try a fresh smf install, maybee that will do it.
Nope, still doesn't work, if you want I can give you to see if you can try it, as I will try, but don't know much about it as you do.
What converter are you using? Give me link.

Thats for vB 3.0.x
So you should use [BETA] SMF 1.1 RC2 Converter - Including update for vB 3.5 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=65677.0)
That means that you have to upgrade your board to 1.1 RC2.
