Yes!

I would love to test this .. especially as I have just ripped Nuke out of my site for being too .. er, crappily insecure :-\

I also have a bribe ;D - a fully working integration with Coppermine ;) (then I can get working on combining all of them into some un-holy trinity :o >:D

Well jack, you're going to be disappointed because this system uses Gallery instead...

I love the screenshots and would love even more to know what portal it is.  I suppose I could be haraunged into agreeing to test it when it becomes available.  This is a dubious question but is there a chance someone can give a ballpark eta for when it'll be ready for us little people to have access to and if that chance does exist then what is the ballpark eta for when this is ready for us little people to have some access?

I'm sure we'll see a Coppermine module for it. :P  I know I brought it up with Kevin at some point, don't remember the reasoning for not using it.

There really is not a current time frame for opening it up to a semi-public beta.  Seem reasonable though for Charter Members to get to test it out first.

Hmmm... I like your thinking David. Giving Charter Members first crack at it is definitely a great idea. Plus, that might motivate others to become Charter Members just so they can get their hands on it ;)

Room11 - please don't say anything right now. The developers have a good reason for not giving more information about it. Let people find it for themselves or wait until more information is posted.

I'd be happy to test this for you also.

Currrently working on phpnuke for my game clan's web site.  (not finished and probably wont depending on if we can wait for this)  Same for my personal site :)

I would like to sign up for the mod and can use either, or both, forums if needed.

Allowed to tell us, or give hints, about how it is skinned?  Such as will we easily be able to find templates or will have to create templates?  Is this seperate from the forum template?

Hmm... Charter members get to try it out first?  Is the fee for only 1 SMF forum or any hosted by the member?  (I host 2 on the same server)

David

We've basically allowed Charter Members to use their membership for how ever many forums they actually own.  Not like if you are an admin on a friends forum but if you are actually the owner of more than one then it is alright.

Allow me to let you all know that this portal is absolutly great.
You have my word that you will love every single aspect of it along with the strong community that comes with it.

//Edit
Also about the coppermine gallery. Gallery was used at the time of the creation of the portal. It does not mean it's the only supported one. You can be sure that coppermine will someday be added. Also, you are not obligated to use Gallery if you don't like it :)

I'm keeping my mout shut...

All I can say is that it's >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> very very good! ;D

I'm a portal newbie, so let me ask this question...  When people combined YaBB and a portal, it always seemed like they were pretty much disconnected; the portal was one thing, and it had a link to the forum and that was about it.  Is that about on target?  Will this portal allow easy integration with the forum?  For example, my big thing is that I like to be able to export certain forum posts to the main index of the site, then let people link into the forum to respond with comments.  Right now I used YaBB's news.php feature, but it's kind of clunky sometimes.  Some more flexibility would be great.  Thanks for any info.

This one integrates the forum quite nicely, although you can already export certain posts to the main page via SSI.php...

Can you point me to more info on SSI.php?  Is it included with YaBB like news.php, or is it a built in PHP function, or what?

Thanks.
