I think it would be good to have a stickied topic in the SMF Coding board for people to list mods that they no longer want to maintain, and would like to find someone to take over. This makes it easier for the mod authors, and easier for people who'd like to help the mod community but might not feel confident to start a new mod by themselves.

SMF vs. Godzilla? Who do you think will win?

I stickied but it may get unstickied as there are a lot of other stickies in there. I think stickied is good but... Hmmm... Clutter may be an issue.

What I would CONSIDER is suggesting, in your first post, that mod authors create a separate topic for the discussion of taking over their mod or to specify to reply via PM. That will keep that topic from (hopefully) becoming bloated. They should also edit their topics when the transfer has been made so that people are no longer reading page one and then page fourty and replying to something that has already been addressed. Sound do-able to you?

Feel free to make those changes. Sounds good :)

I have gone ahead and edited your first post. Linked to here in hopes that that topic remains clean/clear. It has seemed to randomly added the space character which I am not going to attempt to fix until the bug has been eradicated.
