Well, that's debatable.

The stray code at the top of the page is gone now.  :D

But I think the youtube website might be down. No videos show up on my site, including the videos that were in the main page (Joomla) but I can't get into youtube website either. I'll update if anything changes.

Are there directions on how to do a manual install to the template for the button?

UPDATE:
Yes, the video is showing now. Yay!

Still need the directions on manual install though.

tatore

You'll have the instructions into the mod's file "modifications.xml".
However if I remember well the button "youtube" goes into the directory: ...yourtheme/images/buttons .

I'm still getting an error that the message body is empty when I try to post a video.  If I hit Preview it shows up fine but I get the error when I hit Post.  I edited Modifications.english.php to the following.

<?php
// Version: 1.1; Modifications
$txt['youtube'] = 'YouTube';

?>

Any suggestions?

You can't (if Ive understood) edit a post with only youtube codes without any word into the message.
Example
---------------------------------------------------

______________________________
It's wrong!!
_____________________
Here is a video (this is the message body )

________________________
It will work!

Try and let us know...it a very nice mod.

Oh my mistake.  It works fine if I put in some text.  I didn't know that it was necessary.

ameo

what did I do wrong?

I get only this, but not the video:

I have SMF 1.1.3.

Do I have to enable something first and where, or make some additional changes to make it work?

But do you have listed the mod as installed in the package list?
Have you a customized theme?
Please, read the first post of this thread and then tell me..

Thanks for the help tatore. The directory is actually yourtheme/images/bbc

All is well now. for now.

That means the mod wasn't properly installed.

tch90

I'm having a similar issue.

I've installed the mod.  The bbc is enabled in Admin>Post & Topics.  The icon shows up for embedding the tag, but no video shows up.  No box.. nada.  I can, however, highlight an invisible box.  (The google embed mod works perfectly, btw.)

I've tested it in IE and Firefox.

Sorry for the following silly question: do you put the entire youtube link (www.yout....)
or replace just the (11) code betw. 'youtube' tags?

Well, I assumed it was like the google plug in, and I used the whole address.   :-[

Oh well, yet another thing I'll have to put into my forum tutorial so my users will understand how to use it. lol

Thanks =)

Farmacija

I got again error in error log from this mod!!!
Quote8: Use of undefined constant YouTube - assumed 'YouTube'
Datoteka: /home/farmaceu/public_html/forum/Themes/default/Display.template.php (eval?)
Linija: 3
it is so annoying that one smf mod causes so many errors in error log and no other mod causes such numerous errors as this!
it effect databases and its function when there is lot of errors in error log , i  guess.

Try to post the 3d line of your dispay.template, or anyway the string with "youtube" code.
I assume you have into the "modifications.yorlanguage.php the "youtube" string translated.
