I am working on a 22" monitor (1680 mode) and browsing the mods in this forum here I find the font display inside the code box is extremely small maybe 4-5 point in height.

Is there a way to make that font a bit larger? - I have to copy/paste it into notepad to be able to actually read it.

Easiest way would be just to change the zoom / text size of your browser :).

View > Text Size in Internet Explorer or View > Zoom in firefox

Namecheap (domains)
Fastmail (e-mail)
Linode (VPS)

Or you can hold Ctrl and move your scrollwheel on your mouse downwards. ;)

It's not about general text display - it's about the code box text only!

There isn't really any easy way to do this just for the code box (unless someone wants to change it site wide :D).

If you're using firefox you could install greasemonkey and someone could probably write you a script to do it.

The difference in small-font display on wide-screen monitors, compared to a 4:3 CRTs, is quite significant and painful as well.

The easiest way would be by not using the inline-window (code box) when posting code snippets  :P

I wonder no one here on a wide-screen realising that problem? Me the only one on a 22" monitor?

that depends very much on on your screen size/ display resolution ratio  :P

I have a 32" tv as a monitor, it's running 1080p and i can barely see the text inside the code box... other text such as posts and such are perfect.

At least one person that knows what I am talking about! (sigh)

BTW, welcome to the forum :)

you mean it's enormously difficult to up these maybe 2pt? :)  O:)
that's all it would take but ignorance is the winner.

karlbenson

2pt would make it too big for other resolutions.

My point was instead of using pt for sizes, personally I prefer to use px.
But there is an issue with IE and px sizes in that if you select larger size, the px stays the same.

Ol' Wombat

what a wonderful world :/

The code box looks fine in my laptop and desktop.  Laptop is a 15" widescreen @ 1280x800 and my desktop has a 19" widescreen display @ 1440x900.

Perhaps, it's a different issue with 1680+  O:)

Perhaps, as no problem is seen here and I have the same setup as Jay: 1440x900

We are talking here about 1680x1050 or higher - still no one around saying 1680+ is fine.
Obviously no one around here using this resolution.
