Making Mistakes in Forum Sites and Learning From Them

I've made a lot of mistakes in running a forum site. Some mistakes were irreversible. One day I decided to install a separate subdomain forum where I tested everything I wanna do first before implementing a particular change to the proper forum site. This way I learned what was possible and what was not possible, what would work and what would not work.

Having a testing ground frees your mind from the fear of destroying your precious forum altogether perhaps caused by a MOD installation or slight modification of the code.

My testing site forum has witnessed all my blunders. I have learned from every mistake/error.

When we commited mistakes in forum sites and learned from them, we are bracing ourself to a path of assisting others who, in one way or another, may commit the same error someday.

The portal of learning is infinite. In administering our forum sites, let us not be discouraged by the mistakes we commit along the way. It's part of the learning process. We all were once babies learning to walk.

Whenever we stumble, we have to get up, and let's start a new day.

Thank you, SMF.
