There's also the trick where you can type [[General English Support]] and it will link to that board (here only.)

-[Unknown]

but obviously se dosend do that cause it would look like this:

General English Support

and not just have the url displayed as a link

btw thats a cool feature. ;)

Sweet thing! General English Support someone should write a mod for that!  :P Really neat!  :D

< off-topic>Yeah, I discovered that a couple of days ago (I'm wondering if I was the first to notice, but probably not), and it should definitely be a mod! In fact, [Unknown] did allude to it maybe becoming a mod... Would be especially nifty since as far as I know, no other forum software has this feature...< /off-topic>

Does the post group really count? Like, is it important? I know a lot of excellent members that have very rich replies and are still low in count, and also know members with thousands of them and little, if any, are really worth the space in the db. So don't concern yourself with that so much.

Im not too bothered by it, just a little annoying posting a lot and still a newbie, plus its things like that i use SMf for.

I may release my "wiki links" mod a bit later...

Cool,  ;) do you know the Ranks post thingy?

Elisa

I have installed the RC2. Nearly all ok!  If within in the panel "Management groups users" and I press on the number of the users in several the groups, I can see the directory but the function "Remove users from the group" does not work!!!!!!!  Not there is way to fix?

[Unknown]

You cannot remove members from post groups.....

Then to what it serves the push-button?  And then in SMF Beta I could!

I was under the impression that the Private Messages feature was getting a slight facelift in RC2. I can't seem to find that anywhere in thsi thread and I was unable to notice a difference on my forum using the SMF default theme. Specifically, I was looking for the ability to make private messages display much like a free Email (yahoo, gmail, hotmail) would display.. With a list of the inbox and each one was a link. To take that a step further, threaded conversations like GMAIL (combining your inbox/outbox on certain messages would be awesome). The way it is right now is rather difficult to browse and read new private messages (for me at least). Any news on this? Perhaps it was a mod that I missed or something... Thanks

Daniel D.

You have a wrong impression and it's not difficult to read. :P Who said that this will change for 1.0?

You've to wait, it'll perhaps change, but not for 1.0. RC is a feature stop (I don't know if it's here, too ;) ), so there is only bug fixing until 1.0.

Changes to the pm system are planned for the next major milestone (1.1) but it probably will not mean threaded (where you have a hierarchal tree of replies) but possibly more "topic" like.

 ???
I know we all hate going back over things but I found this and thought that just MAYBE! this would help explain a little on the search problem mentioned above in this thread!

;) Hope this helps  :D
