Just wondering if anybody know of a decent wysiwyg editor, I find the one bundled with SMF is fairly restrictive and does not always do what you require it to do.

Could a kind member who knows both languages (Spanish & English) please translate the first post from that topic and post it here, I would love to get this working.

Babelfish can only do so much, see below:

Hello!

I am here for saying to them that finally I have been able to install this publisher in my forum 1.1.7, after thousand battles to the aim I have been able, also all this modified by my so they do not have to modify nothing, almenos that they must install it manually, Good I bring almost all fact to them so here we in one go go hand to the work ......

EYE

If you have installed a previous version of hoteditor DESINSTÁLALA FIRST! they do one backup of these archives:

## Themes/default/Display.template.php,
## Themes/default/Post.template.php,
## Themes/default/Profile.template.php,
## Themes/default/script.js
## Sources/Subs.php

It copies the hoteditor_quickedit.html file and the folder richedit in the root directory of your installation SMF (Estan Within the Zip HotEditor 1.1.7). That is to say, it must be as it follows:

attachments
transformations
Packages
richedit
Smiley
Sources
Themes
agreement.txt
changelog.txt
hoteditor_quickedit.html
index.php

You have done when it, it enters the administration of your forum SMF and sees the section " Paquetes" and soon to " To unload paquetes" It selects to the file hoteditor.4.2_smf.1.1.2.zip (This within zip that Attached) that this within the Zip that happens to them, súbelo and instálalo and ...... that is everything! You must already have your Rich package edit working.

PS: I CANNOT GIVE MUCH SUPPORT BECAUSE IN FACT IT HAS NOT GIVEN PROBLEMS ME AFTER INSTALLING IT, BUT NOTHING IN WHICH CAN I HELP

I know Spanish, but I don't know all the computer Spanish or different figures of speech used in various regions. So this may not be entirely accurate. Regardless, here's my best translation:

Hello!!!!
I am here to tell you that finally I have been able to install this editor in my forum 1.1.7, after my battles finally I have been able, also all is modified by me so no need to modify anything, except that you have to install it manually, Anyway here I bring you almost everything done so let's go "hand to the work" [I'm not familiar with this phrase] together......

WARNING
If you have installed a previous version of hoteditor ¡¡¡¡DEINSTALL IT FIRST!!!
make a backup of these files:
##   Themes/default/Display.template.php,
##   Themes/default/Post.template.php,
##   Themes/default/Profile.template.php,
##   Themes/default/script.js
##   Sources/Subs.php

Copy the file hoteditor_quickedit.html and the folder richedit in the root directory of your SMF installation (They Are Inside of the Zip HotEditor 1.1.7). That is, it should be like the following:

attachments
avatars
Packages
richedit
Smileys
Sources
Themes
agreement.txt
changelog.txt
hoteditor_quickedit.html
index.php

When you have done it, enter the administration of your SMF forum and look at the section "Packages" and later at "Remove packages" [I didn't bother to lookup the actual name inside SMF] Select the file hoteditor.4.2_smf.1.1.2.zip (It's inside of the Attached zip) that is inside of the Zip that les pase [this means "happens to them," but it doesn't fit here], súbelo [this literally means "raise it" and I'm guessing it's how you say to "extract" a zip] and install it and...... that is all! You should already have your package Rich edit functioning.

PS: I CAN'T GIVE MUCH SUPPORT BECAUSE IN REALITY IT HASN'T GIVEN ME PROBLEMS AFTER INSTALLING IT, SO NOTHING IN WHICH I CAN HELP. :D.

Thanks seleleth, that makes sense. I'm gonna give it a shot this weekend on my test forum.
