I followed the directions on how to fix this in another thread, however this is not working.  I still have the errors at the top of the site.

Mambo 4.6/SMF 2.0 RC 1

Hm... BUMP BUMP BUMP!

Guys, I am seriously needing help with this as it is on a business website.

Let me add on a little bit.  The forum by itself works fine.  Mambo works fine without the forum, but when bridged, I get the 3 above errors when I click on "FORUM" on Mambo.

Then I get this error when trying to login:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 51 bytes) in /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 655

Here's the LINK.

$configuration =& mamboCore::getMamboCore();
$database =& mamboDatabase::getInstance();
$mainframe =& mosMainFrame::getInstance();

I did try the fix in another thread that had the same exact error, but it did not work.

That code appear in several places in the file.  You need to replace each and ever instance of it.

swtdivalove

I did replace them all, but will attempt again.

swtdivalove

Okay, I replaced all of those lines with the one that was suggested and it works now.  I did try this before, but it hadn't worked, but did it differently.

Marking as solved!

There are just too many errors between Mambo 4.6 and SMF 2.0 RC 1...  While I really LIKE Mambo, it's proving more difficult than it's worth.  With some really nice portals out there that are nearly as capable as Mambo and there are no issues with them working.

I am disappointed, because people are complaining about having to login twice, errors when logging in and out of the site and much, much more.

Which mambots do you have published?

swtdivalove

When I tried to publish the SMF_Login/SMF_Logout, errors everywhere.

Anyway, I went with Simple Portal, and while not as much functionality as Mambo, it will do what we need it to do.

It helps to know what the errors say.

Already posted...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 51 bytes) in /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 655

PHP.ini is set to 32mb, so this should have not even been an issue.

But, regardless... Just too much to try and deal with.  I might RECONSIDER once all of the bugs are worked out.

Are you sure your SMF database user has access to your Mambo database?
