Been using SMF since 1.1.3. Never before have I had such a hard time upgrading. But it's my fault for having so many modifications and custom code changes I guess. Anyways I got it all sweet after a few hours. Nothing that the search button and a bit of patience couldn't sort out. :o

Big thanks to all of the SMF staff for the great work and the continuous commitment/development/evolution. 8)

Hi,

Can we find anywhere a changelog?

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

As always, a changelog is available as the last item on the http://download.simplemachines.org/ page ;)

EDIT: Sorry, webinstall is last - changelogs before that :P

And again a screwed update (3rd, 4th or 5th?)... Just 18 hours after the update and the first bugs you have to realize that there is a new update file with the same name. No comment on download or home page. Isn't it possible to learn the lessons of the past?

Worst update handling ever.

RoarinRow

Excellent, thanks for the update!   8)

I have the problems with http's.  I JUST REdownloaded BOTH the upgrade and full install and none of those files were updated after 12/1 so they obviously weren't fixed.
Yesterday evening (with http bug in Subs.php):
>md5sum smf_1-1-11_update.tar.bz2
a55eff2670b14217ede3dd950eff9e77  smf_1-1-11_update.tar.bz2

Today morning (9 hours ago, without bug):
>md5sum smf_1-1-11_update.tar.bz2
ca33e3dab84ddb4ae056633d8fa6a3fc  smf_1-1-11_update.tar.bz2

To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

As I said in PM, I suspect you've got the older patch, not the newer one (since there were issues with mirrors carrying the older patch files)

There is also a support topic for this already.

Simple Machines announces the release of SMF 1.1.11, addressing multiple vulnerabilities found in SMF 1.1.10. Also for those still using the SMF 1.0.x branch, an upgrade to 1.0.19 was released. We strongly recommend that all users upgrade as soon as possible.

Upgrade automatically by visiting your administration center, where a notice will be displayed prompting you to upgrade. Click the link, confirm the changes and your forum will be up to date again. Additionally, you can upgrade using the package manager by downloading the attached patch, uploading it to the package manager, and applying it as prompted. For help with this refer to the Package Manager section of the Online Manual.

If you cannot upgrade using the package manager, please follow the instructions posted in the Online Manual about installing and upgrading. If you experience a session verification error when inputting FTP details for updating process, please see this topic.

It may be necessary to apply the upgrade manually if mod conflicts mean that you cannot install the patch through the package manager. Instructions for doing this can be found on manual upgrades page for SMF 1.1.11 and 1.0.19.

Finally - please do not use this topic for any support requests. You will get a much more prompt response by visiting the relevant support board!

Regards,
Simple Machines
