I am unable to install Tidy Child Boards v1.2.  Installing action says : .\Sources/BoardIndex.php Test failed.

I am using SMF 2.0 RC2, Default Theme - Curve, PortaMx v0.971-1, Aeva 7.0 and FantasticSmileys 1.0.

What can I do to install it  as I did have it running on a test site with no major problems.

You can enable the Tidy-child boards in the admin control panel.

If you can't install it it's probably due to a line altered by another mod. Then you'll neeed to install that bit manually. At least with 2.0 you can see which change the error is occuring in.

Please see: Manual Installation of Mods

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

Thank you Ash-1993. I do not think that is possible since the application is not installed as stated.

Thank you Kays.  I thought of that and had a look at the manual install option.  I am afraid it is not written for us mere mortals.  I can not figure out what is meant by install before/after or is it after/before?.  I will give it a rest for awhile and have another day...

It's sorta backwards. The before or after is where the search code is. But someone should rewrite that doc since it's simpler now.

Go to the mod page and there you'll see an option to parse the mod. Select the version of mod you download and your version SMF and it will display all of the changes. Then you either replace the original code or add the new code before or after.
