Check your hosting and forum error logs. Do you notice any relevant errors?

The most common causes of 500 (internal server) errors:

1) PHP file edited (or hacked), leaving blank or empty line(s) at the beginning or end of the file or blanks (or other characters) before the opening <?php or after the closing ?>
2) file uploaded in wrong mode (such as binary instead of ASCII/text)
3) using permissions forbidden by your host, such as 777 ("world writable") under suPHP
4) requesting SSL (https:) service when there is none for that exact domain
5) error in .htaccess or php.ini file coding
6) putting PHP settings into .htaccess (using phpflag or phpvalue commands) when your host requires you to use a php.ini file for this purpose
7) certain Mod Security settings in your .htaccess -- review them

My forum do crawl when i ban, i solved it by deleting many old banned members and deleting "ban triggers" and by emptying "session table" regularly after coverting it InnoDB.

Try removing more you will notice a change, also do smf maintanance from time to time, delete all smf errors logs.

Also convert some tables like session, topics to InnoDB.

Maxtor

what is InnoDB? how do i install it? whats the advantages of this?

Hi maxtor, is this still an issue?

Do you have very many bans in effect?

What were you doing when you got that error?  Just posting the error in a topic where the last post was Oct 09 won't get you much help.  Were you banning a member as the topic title states?
