Please don't bump your topics within 24 hours of posting it. We are all volunteers here.

Can you tell us what EXACTLY is wrong with it? Saying there's and error and shoving the file at us doesn't really say much. You need to tell us what's going on, the exact error you're getting, showing us screen shots helps. Check your error log, and tell us if you have any other mods installed.

If you see an error when installing a mod. That means that the mod could not find a search string and that pat of the mod didn't get installed.

If you go to the mod page and parse it for your version SMF, you will see the changes made to each file. Go though that file and verify all of the changes adding any which were missed.

Please see: Manual Installation of Mods

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

Ohh...that kind of error, I thought he meant there was something wrong with the file itself haha. Well Odds are, you have another mod that's causing the conflict. If you ignored the errors and continued with the install, you may end up with a broken forum, and end up having to manually uninstall the mod.

when i said that "it shows an error in modsettings.php" it clearly means that the mod could not find a search string and that pat of the mod didn't get installed.

listen... problem is that when i was installing another mod (dont know which) which made changes to modsettings.php and thats why there is an error in modsettings.php when i tried to install those two mods. i have backup file of modsettings.php. but it is that file which is conflicting to those mods.

can you please examine my modsettings.php and tell me wgat is wrong??

Kays

Yes this will happen. It's up to you to try to find the conflict and to try to correct it. Or seek help in the support topic for that mod.
