That's a really bad uninstall job. Look at the Manual Install instructions for the mod and you'll see what areas of the code have been changed. You should be able to fix it that way. If not then you'll have to refresh the php files that have been corrupted either from a backup or from an upgrade pack. The latter will remove any other mods that affect the file in question.

I'd report this failure to the mod author if I were you, they may have a quick fix or best advice for fixing it. Look at the Comments and Support topic attached to the mod page.

I parsed manual install instructions, it doesn't change anything that is near my area of problem. I think it might've been like this prior to the installation of the mod.

I completely reinstalled SMF (deleted all the old files, the sql database etc...) and it does the same thing. Could this be a corrupt version I have?

EDIT:
I reinstalled with a redownloaded copy of the forum. It does the same thing...............................................................................................

I guess I'm using SMF 1.1.11, AGAIN.

If the download was bad, everyone would be complaining about it.

My guess is you now have a permissions issue with the directories on the server or some other code on the server is causing problems. Is it free hosting that relies on advertisements to pay the way? if so the host may be automatically trying to insert images and code into your files.

No, it has never done this before. My RC3 was working fine for about 2 days. Then this happened. My server specs:

Operating System:     Linux
Kernel Version:    7.2-RELEASE-p4
PHP Version:            5.3.2
MySQL Version:    5.0.90
Nameservers:            ns1.unlimitedmb.com
                                ns2.unlimitedmb.com
----

I've never experienced any problems with ULMB

After you deleted and reinstalled did you reinstall ANY mods?

Did you upload the files with Filezilla? If so check the Edit > Preferences > Transfers > File Types and uncheck Treat files without extensions as ASCII file then try reinstalling all the files again, overwriting the new files you installed. It could be they were corrupted when they were uploaded.

Check also my edit.

No, ULMB's cPanel allows you to upload zip files that unpack.

So at the moment you have a fresh install using an all new install archive, you have no modifications installed and you see these extra characters on all pages and themes.

Please post a link to your site so I can take a look.

So now you are back on 1.1.11 and there is no problem with the forum, I don't see any issues or extra text or symbols.

Ah I see it now.

Looking at the page code, I see the following

<!---  End Free Hosting Code Insert --->
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This tells me your host is trying to automatically insert data into your site.

You need to discuss with your host, they need to update their insertion code to match with RC3. It's not there on the 1.1.11 site so it looks like the insertion is not working at all with 1.1.11.
