Hi,

I have smf 1.1.11 installed pretty urls sinds januari 2010 and google only indexes the profiles of the forum and not the posts.

I downloaded sitemap 2-1-2 and when install the mod it says The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

Can someone advise me ?

Have you tried using Google's Webmaster Tools to see if there are any crawl errors?

Google spends all it's time ogling viewing my gallery but also seems to ignore the forum itself. I do well on the other major search engines though.

Thanks for the tip too, Motoko.

Have you installed sitemap? Also make sure your theme is validated.

You'd never believe it but not 24 hours after my last post on this thread Google has 'found' me.

Something which is easy to overlook is Admin > Server settings > General > make sure the full web address of the forum is entered into Forum Title.

I have  tried to install it but i get that error i wrote above.

How do you validate the theme ?

Sorry to jump into the middle of this but crawling, you should check to see that the sitemap supports your version of SMF.

In some mods, you might have to manually add the line on index.template.php, in the footer.

alright i was able to get it working , it was the theme that was not supported for the version of smf forum i have installed .

Now i have submitted the sitemap to google and google say's its ok but there are 0 index files .
It's an week now there should be at least 10 links indexed by now

This is what i submitted to google
hxxp:www.xxx.com/forum/index.php?action=sitemap;xml [nonactive]

Is this the right way ???

A link to your site would be helpful. Also, did you check that there are no crawl errors?
