That's close you are on the right track.
This one would require two steps.  You see the number 16711680 that would need to fetched from the webpage.
I am still working on building that feature in the mod to fetch extra parts needed then store them.

I see... the only reason I hard coded it was that it seems to be the same in every URL I've came across so far.

Hmm I just did some more research into this, a friend of mine who does VBulletin mods told me that the site always uses "16711680" and that's just part of the URL.

I'm not sure why it's not working. All that has to be done is add it to the table in the database right?

EDIT: N/M I got it to work, I didn't realize you had to manually turn it on in the settings and couldn't just have it auto on when adding a row in the table. Thanks for your time!

It would be nice to have it as a setting at least.  I for one would prefer auto embedding be disabled for shoutboxes but some people may use them in a wider area than i do so it wouldn't be a big deal.  If you could point me to what to edit i can make the change myself and then just enter that into my site customization thread.  There is alot that I adjust with the way things work :D

vbgamer45

You said this issue is probably a check/flag in the post area, which file would I look in to get this changed so it doesn't autoembed in the shoutbox? If you point me in a direction I can do some poking around.

Thanks

vbgamer45

Subs.php that calls the processmedia function you would need to do some conditional checking there.

Well I did some poking around but couldn't find anything, my php knowledge is basic, so idk.  The shoutbox is Simpleportal so maybe I'll ask over there and see if they have any solutions

Ummm how do I get rid of the floating Embedder credit?

It's floating right in front of the Simple Machines copyright notice jumbling the text, so the two credits look meshed together wrecking my board's look atm.

You can't remove the credit without purchasing a removal, as stated above. However, you can fix the styling so the lines aren't on top of each other. There is a "bug" in the Curve CSS that's causing the lines to collapse.

In the file index.css, find the selector "#footerarea ul li.copywrite" and remove the "line-height:0 " rule.

I haven't tried the stylesheet fix yet, but this is a core variant I'm using where this bug is showing.

Maybe that line rule should get ousted altogether.

rogeret

Hi,

I've just installed the lastest version of the plugin in SMF 1.1.12 but I can't publish videos on my posts. My forum is in www . vadejocs . cat

I've downloaded the Mod, I've installed and all seems to work.

Maybe I miss something of smf configuration to allow embedded? I can see any new button on the reply toolbar for adding videos.
:-[

vbgamer45

Two things.
First you need to enabled which video sharing sites you wish to autoembed.

Then after that you just place the video url/link inside the post and that is it.

Hmm doesnt work for me. I copied the youtube url and pasted it in my forum, making sure that youtube is clicked.
But it only shows the youtube link in the post... :(

eyo

permissions would be nice to add here , or is there a setting for it already?

Spoogs

What purpose would the permissions serve...?
Allow some users to embed and others not to?????

That would be more annoying for the reader than the poster.

青山 素子

Mixing permissions with the bbcode parser doesn't work too well.
