Ok, got it,,, is there a way to force the new register member post if they haven't post within a length of time?

No. I mean, you can ask them but you can't *make* them do anything.

There are mods out there to nudge them if they're inactive but you can't physically *make* them post.

Do I need to change the Inherit Permissions to anything besides "No - Use Unique Permissions"?

You should not need to change it if I remember correctly.

hi
i installed the mod and set a membergroup into characters limit 30

and i logged into an testing account(in that membergroup), the limitation did not change
see attachments

my forum version is 2.0rc4

never mind, it does not apply to post count based member groups
hope u have this change in the future, to make it possible for post count based groups

thx

Lately lots of users/spammers register only to put links in their signature so I found this mod but it doesn't work or I am doing something wrong.

I am using SMF 2.0 RC4

In Admin -> Feature and Option -> Signatures I have 'Maximum allowed characters' to 300 SMF default.

In Admin > Membergroups -> 'Newbie' group I have 'Max signature characters' set to 1 but it has no effect.

I read the above post that it does not apply to 'post count based member groups' so I created another group 'Test' set the 'Max signature characters' to 1 same effect still was able to post signature. (used 3 different user account to test this).

Anyone knows a signature limit mod that works, example: Don't allow signature for user with less than X post.

The mod is installed correctly.  :)
But I also have this mod does not work:( Place on a forum SMF 2.0 RC4

In these settings, users can still set the text for more than 10 characters.
Tell me please what is wrong?  :-\

Hi guys.

I would like to add Max Images to the same mod Signature limits I could do that?

My default limit is 2 images and I want to give permission to only some groups for more than that.

Could anyone help me please?

You edited in each group separately? It has to be in each group not in the signature settings.

I can't get this to install regardless of the emulation selected. (??)

If I use 2.0 or 2.0 RC2 the install link appears but I get a "Failed" warning for the ManageMembergroups.php file.

I'd love to use this...any chance of it being updated to use with 2.0?

I installed this mod, but did not get how to use its functionality, i messed with everything in the admin panel, permissions, etc.

I want to limit newbies to set signature only after 10 posts, but did not find anywhere how to..

Also while installing on my 2.0 final, there was test failed in membergroup file in subs directory, but i proceeded.

any help?
