Very oddly, I've just noticed that my Admin page is showing the incorrect CURRENT VERSION for SMF, well for my forum at least.

See the attachments but it correctly identifies my forum as 2.0.1 but says the current version is 1.1.15.

Any ideas?

can you check the header of your files and post it?

for 2.0 it should be something like

Quote/**
* Simple Machines Forum (SMF)
*
* @package SMF
* @author Simple Machines http://www.simplemachines.org
* @copyright 2011 Simple Machines
* @license http://www.simplemachines.org/about/smf/license.php BSD
*
* @version 2.0
*/

Yep, have checked them and they are fine, below from my Calendar.template.php file

<?php
/**
* Simple Machines Forum (SMF)
*
* @package SMF
* @author Simple Machines
* @copyright 2011 Simple Machines
* @license http://www.simplemachines.org/about/smf/license.php BSD

but it's that the system is reporting the problem in reverse, I have a 2.0.1 forum but it's saying the current version (available from SMF) is 1.1.15. How is the system check carried out because that's where the problem must be somehow?

what files are being reported as outdated?
By outdated, you mean Older than the current version, they're not, they're all NEWER than the current version.  ???

Attached is a screen shot of my Sources list when More Details or the Detailed Check option is used. All those with 2.0 are genuine 2.0.1 files, as demonstrated by the snip of the Calendar file above.

Note to SMF 2.0 users...

If this isn't showing up in your admin center, you have a couple of options:
Download it from the Upgrades Site and install it through the package manager
Run the "Fetch Simple Machines Files" scheduled task as follows:
Admin -> Maintenance -> Scheduled Tasks
Check the box in the "Run Now" column next to "Fetch Simple Machines Files"
Click the "Run Now" button

that also updates the current version

Chas Large

OK But I installed the 2.0.1 upgrade manually last week and yesterday it was showing correctly but today it's wrong. Surely you don't mean I have to patch the upgrade?

no you just need to run that scheduled task and it should fix it.
