Replace it with the thing that you hope for "<!-- Burner or logo -->" of "index.template.php".

Please could someone expand on this for me - i.e: take me thru step by step as I don't quite understand how to put my site logo at the top of the forum.

cool,  8) i havent seens such a excellent theme before.. thanx for the theme

weber

@carlos:
To our regret, there is no buttons of Portuguese for this theme. :(

@Hengis:
Find the following code of "index.template.php".

Quote<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" height="66px">
<tbody>
   <tr><td align="left" valign="bottom" class="toplogol"><span style="font-family: Georgia, sans-serif; white-space: nowrap;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span><td/><td align="right" valign="bottom" class="toplogor"><!-- Burner or logo --></td>
   </tr>  </tbody>
</table>

Replace the part of above-mentioned "<!-- Burner or logo -->" with your banner code. When the code of your banner is "<img src="http://www.your.site.com/banner.gif" alt="" border="0" />", it becomes the following.

Quote<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" height="66px">
<tbody>
   <tr><td align="left" valign="bottom" class="toplogol"><span style="font-family: Georgia, sans-serif; white-space: nowrap;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span><td/><td align="right" valign="bottom" class="toplogor"><img src="http://www.your.site.com/banner.gif" alt="" border="0" /></td>
   </tr>  </tbody>
</table>

Replace the part of "http://www.your.site.com/banner.gif " with URL of your banner, when you use the above-mentioned code.

@masterzone:
Thank you for the good comment. :D

Hi Koni, the theme looks really great, outstanding job on it!! I would like to install this for my forum but I don't understand something, where's all the .php files and the images and languages folders to this theme? I downloaded the main file and all that got extracted were a couple of weird named text files ... did I miss something here?? Please help me!

Thanks for designing and providing a great theme, Koni! :)

Never mind! The file wasn't properly extracted before. But now I got all the files! ;D

Hi aquahearts88, :)

Go to "Admin" -> "Theme and Layout Settings". And, install the "hiha.tar.gz" file with "From a file:" specifying it. Refer to the following for details.

Koni,

I'm having some difficulty my logo set in the theme options.  On all the top level boards it's working great.  On child boards the theme will not pull the logo.  Any ideas?

Willo

weber

If the logo is made for you to edit "BoardIndex.template.php" and to be displayed, it is necessary to edit "MessageIndex.template.php" for "Child Boards".

willo

Strange, but I added a / to the image location and it's working fine now.... /logo.gif

fusey

I've tried them all but this has to be the best!

Its clean, functional and looks great!

Well done :)

cibreso

just done it and can't have acces to my admin panel  now, everytime I click on admin it says "Unable to load the 'Errors' template"

any idea please

thank you :'(

weber

@fusey:
Thank's, I am very glad. :D

@cibreso:
Did the trouble come to happen after having installed Hi::Ha? Because Hi::Ha doesn't change "Admin.template.php", it is not easy to think that it is a cause.

The following method might help you though the cause is not understood.

1. Rename directory "hiha" of Hi::Ha to "_hiha".

2. Access your forum (At this time, neither the image nor CSS will be displayed in your forum).

3. Access Admin panel, and set the theme to default.

koni,

I see the following in the index.template.php

// If RSS feeds are enabled, advertise the presence of one.
        if (!empty($modSettings['xmlnews_enable']))
                echo '
        <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="', $context['forum_name'], ' - RSS" href="', $scripturl, '?type=rss;action=.xml" />';

Is there a way to add an RSS image and link to each of the forums?

weber

It is not a function only for this theme. I think that the following become your help.

hperantunes

Oh god! Thank you!!!

This theme is the very first good one I found, after many digging dozen horrible themes on this board!

Very good job!

weber

Thanks, hperantunes. I am glad for you to like this theme. :D

Well, I made Hi::Ha theme for 1.1 RC 1. :) It can be downloaded from the first post.

Remarks:
"tar.gz" compression of "1.1 RC 1" did not operate well in my environment. It was not solved though substitution was tried though the cause seemed to be in the archiver utility that I used. The problem doesn't occur in "1.0.5" and "1.1b3p".

Therefore, I switched the compression method to "Zip". Still, try the manual installation when you have the problem in the installation of this theme.

Can someone create me a forum button that is the same as the new buttons. I found one here, but its square.  I would like one that matches the rest of the navigation.
