Hie,

I'm a first time user of the forums..I have few questions..

1. Where can I change test in the "News Box" Edit: Found it :D , dont asnwer this.
2. I've come across a site which does not has your copyright notices a the bottom? I understand its illegal to remove those ya? If so why are they doing it? can It be removed if some sort of license is brought?

Cheers thanks.

Metho

Currently there is no way to get the copyright removed that I know of. If you want to help out the team, you can send a message to one of the team members, and it will hopefully get sorted out. Sometimes when people are modifying templates, they accidently delete those things without realizing it, but unfortunately some do do it intentionally. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

You are not supposed to remove the copyright information. Either you came across an SMF forum that is doing it illegally, moved it or else it is not an SMF forum. If it is in fact an SMF forum I would report that to [Unknown] or another active SMF staff member.

Also, no there is no way to purchase a liscense to get the copyright removed.

Also, Metho, if they removed it it was intentionally only because it put huge red letters on your site if you remove it unintentionally. I know I did it.

I have come across a site which is doing it! They have removed the SMF links and instead put their own copyright links, im 101% positive its SMF..where can I report this illegal use?

Thanks

Metho

Feel free to send a link to me, and I'll forward it to the entire team so we can all look at it. Thanks for your help!

Done, I hope you take action against them, otherwise it will just encourage bad practices like these.
