Customizable Home Page

I need a easy customizable home page for 2.0.7 - I tried a few of the portal mods but they seem to be a little confusing for me or just don't do want I want. I just want a basic, simple home page that I can create an "Adult Content Warning."

This mod seems perfect for me. I emulated to SMF 2.0 RC4 from 2.0.7 to install it and it seems to work for the most part, but when I click on one of the forum boards it takes me back to the custom home page. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2915

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

You can certainly ask in the support topic for that mod (which I now see you did). If that's indeed the mod you think you want. It's a bit outdated at this point in time. I use SimplePortal and love it. There are of course other portal mods. For Simple Portal, you would just need to set up on block and fill it with the content you need. But if that's all you are going to do with it, it might be somewhat too much, but you may also find other things to do with it.

Thanks, I think I got the SimplePortal mod to do what I wanted. Maybe I will try a splashpage when I learn a little more.
