Hi All,

Is it possible to sort the sticky posts by alphabetical order and then regular posts by most recent post?

cheers,

Antechinus

I think there's a mod for sorting stickies. Try searching the mod site for "sort" and/or "sticky".

Steve

We're supposed to encourage people to do their own searches but I'll give you this one this time and you can search for what you need next time, okay? :)

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3425

That will enable you to sort the stickies any way you want.

And for recent posts ... Profile -> Look and Layout ... check the box that says 'Show most recent posts at the top.'

That's assuming you meant 'posts' and not 'threads' of course. :)

So what are you saying Rob? You're using 2.1 as your production site and need a mod that does what the link I gave you does or what? I hope that's not the case.

Now I'm confused.

If this one issue related SMF 2.1 beta then that mod not working.

you must wait until the final release of SMF 2.1 and also wait the mod author upgrade that mod for 2.1

but you can do it manually but that might be long work.

No, not exactly, I was asking if it could be done in SMF 2.1, I did not know it would require any sort of mod.

Ok, are you sitting down?  Good.  Queue the drum roll...  Yes, I am using 2.1 beta for my production site.

Speaking of such thinks, is the spell check button a mod also or part of smf?

For this you need to create separate topic not asking here

Spell check button is built in and requires Enchant or similar to be set up on your host.

well, this is a feature request, but if i dare to speak for SMF Culture, SMF (core software) does not use vb style sticky/normal post separation so its not going to be in SMF 2.1 as well :)
