That's not what 99.9% of my forum members have experienced!

BTW: I even offered to pay you for a professional solution to image hosting .... but you didn't answer my email.

That's my firm opinion.... but what do I know?!

Are you using any add/pop up blockers like NoScript for example. This may be part of the issue. I ran into this personally.

I'm having an issue with this mod.

it seems to work fine for the first upload, but when I try to upload a second image, it does everything but pasting the image URL in the text area. I found out that this error is also happening when doing modification of a post.
thanks in advance.  either of that, the mod is amazing

Why don't you upload multiple images at once?

gasguirre

it will be an option, but some users like to "edit" their post and add the images later..
anyway... the issue was caused by the WYSIWYG feature.. when I disable it, it started working like a charm, thank everyone!

it does sound great.. My only concern is that I have noticed that quite often 3rd party hosts arent too reliable and I end up with red x's from images that were deleted by the user or arent showing because of bandwidth quotas or whatever.

Is there anyway to make this mod so that the users images are uploaded to my server? Id rather host all the images and know they are going to be there for years to come as some of the posts on my site would be useless without their images.

I agree would like to see some way to upload files on to my own server.

Sono

Would it be possible to set this mod to display the original image uploaded to the server instead of the thumbnail? Or to display a bigger sized thumbnail?

2greedy

how can we get the image normal size? this re sized image is useless

A great Mod but totally unreliable....  >:(
That's my firm opinion.... but what do I know?!

If someone wanted to host there own images but use the same type of script, what would we need on the server side. I am going National for a specific reason and community and need to host the images on my own server. I love the simplicity of the mod, but would prefer to use my databases.

Hello .
Mod today do not work [ js dont show ] .
Are only tome or for all ?

frankiekam

When I first installed the mod, the thing that bugged me was the "Image content" choice that the user had to make - between Adult and Famiy friendly content. For me everything was and is perfect about this mod, except for that choice. Couldn't 'Family' be the default choice? Then I googled around and lo and behold, this webpage solves it for me!
h t t p : / / p o s t i m a g e . o r g / m o d . p h p

After you set the selection list item to "Family", click on the Download button. The zip file will download. Use that zip file as your mod.

Hi All

I wonder if someone could shed some light on this. I noticed that after installing the mod, it works with my default theme which is
"SMF Default Theme - Curve". However when I change my theme to the "Love theme" I  no longer see the "Add Image to Post" text link (the PostImage link just below the Smiley row).

So I did some sleuthing and discovered that if I just add this section of code (see below)

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://mod.postimage.org/smf-english-family.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

to /public_html/forums/Themes/LoveTheme/index.template.php

then the "Add Image to Post" text link appears when I use the Love theme.

My question is: HOW can I install the mod and make sure that the non-default mods will automatically see the "Add Image to Post" text link?

Maybe I can help with this. I had the  same issue and it was the result of me not selecting the option of using it for different themes. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and there is an option to select all the themes you are using. It worked fine after that.
