WYSIWYG editor CSS issues

When the box is ticked to user WYSIWYG editor by default, then the background colours chosen in the editor.css is ignored completely. I am using 2.0.11, the latest stable version. I am also using theme Metin_2_Blue.

I unticked the box so that the WYSIWYG editor is not the default, and then my editor.css works. I did change the code in the  editor.css in the default and theme and nothing except unticking the box worked. Core didn't have a editor.css file. Adding one in, still did not fix this. Thus, this is not fixed, and is clearly a bug.

Thanks!

1. Server: My server is updated to the php. I use cPanel. I'm not sure which form of Apache I use. Sorry!
2. Error log: There is not an error log with this. Thanks!

editor.css isn't loaded into the WYSIWYG editor. I notice this awhile back but with the current state of the WYSIWYG editor for SMF 2.0 I never reported it.

I posted a workaround somewhere here in the forums, I am on mobile now so look around in the search to find it.

Actually, it would appear to NOT be a bug at all....

if you define the wysiwyg editor by default - the post window does not use editor.css.
pretty straight forward...  its not called. editor.css is only use for the text editor post window.

That being said - we know that the 2.0.x wywiyg is full of bugs.... so it;s unlike to be changed in 2.0.x...
the entire wysiwyg has been replaced in 2.1 - and it looks like editor.css is no longer used in 2.1

I only found a old post but didn't see a work around. All I did was disable the wysiwyg editor as default, and that fixed it. Its good to know that editor.css is being depricated. That also means that my theme will not work if I upgrade to 2.1 as it used editor.

Is there any way to make the colour in the "change color" be different? Or is this part of the same issue?  (Than after this answer, you can close this. I was going to open a new topic but thought maybe its all related.)

well, a theme for 2.0.x will not work on 2.1 anyway.

Basically, you are saying that their is no way to make a 2.0.x theme work in 2.1 regardless so trying to bother with that is just too much work to make it worth the effort, and it would be 100% faster to just retheme the default. I can do that. I totally redid their theme anyway. lol
Thanks!

well,. I won't say it is impossible to make a 2.0.x theme work on 2.1 -- but it would be a lot of work and, as you say, would just be simpler and quicker to modify the new 2.1 default theme. :)
