Hmm, does anyone know if there are any new features/improvements/fixes planned?

@rjen

No.

Some improvements were asked for (including the download of custom profile fields) but none promised...

@pretor

Look inside (or attach here) your Sources/QueryString.php file.

Looks like you may have installed the mod more than once.

So a small notification from us (SMF), we're adding the GDPR-features to the next release (2.0.16.).
I think we can do this relatively quickly from now, but I will make another post (in a new topic, hopefully tomorrow) about the features it will include immediately, extra features to make it even easier for you that we'll add later down the line (we want to give you the basics first, luxury items are for later care), the expected release date and a note about our own privacy policy here. (We've been working hard on both and have them checked by a third-party, but we gave a tad bit higher priority to userinstalls.)

These additions to SMF will 99% sure be implemented in the core, so each SMF install that updates will get those (optional) features.
As always, SMF is free of charge - including these features. So stay tuned :)

My file.
Ok, that file looks good. The problem probably exists in Sources/Subs.php. Can you attach that now please?

Awesome, many thanks!

Although I'm not at all against paying for a good mod, I think the basic requirements really have to be addressed by the core forum software. The GDPR won't go away, and in the future, having the required features / settings to help with compliance is going to be an important factor for many people deciding which forum software to install.

You are 100% right.
I think the same.
I also have no problem paying for a good mod, like that of vbgamer45.

But just the consideration and compliance with the GDPR,
is a fundamental building block of forum software in the EU.

Without compliance with the GDPR, probably no one would use the forum software in the EU in the future.

Therefore, I very much welcome the move from the SMF
to anchor the conformity with the GDPR in the basic code.

So you can also wait calmly for the 2.1 and do not have to look around for a new software.

Thanks to the SMF Team for their decision
and special thanks to vbgamer45,
who really helped us out with his mod in times of need.

Thank you, that is great news. We'll hang-in there and wait for the 2.0.16 release.
