So I just performed a clean installation on an empty database of SMF 2.0.15 and there is absolutely no CSS activated on the website. I checked the paths in the admin - themes and they're correct.

He's reposted in 2.0 since. But my question stands...

sfr

Yeah I clicked remove but it seems that didn't work.
Anyways I can't share the domain name.

Arantor

Yes, you can, it's only restricted in your first post.

sfr

I can't share it for other reasons.

Illori

did you check that the URL's are correct?

sfr

Yeah, I already said it is in my OP.

Then I don't see how we can help you, you say you have checked the URLs are correct and we can do nothing to help you diagnose what's wrong.

Yeah, I already said it is in my OP.

in the OP you said you checked paths, file paths and URL's are 2 completely different things.

sfr

I've checked the URL's and file paths.
I asked how I can troubleshoot this (that seems to be on my other thread), since you can only answer by me providing the link (it's local) I don't think that'll be necessary, thank you for the help anyways.

Arantor

Looking at it would let me see what your setup thinks it's trying to use versus what is actually routable.

But hey, I'm only former dev team, I'm sure you know best.

Illori

is the forum loading correctly on the computer where the server is located? if so, is it loading correctly on another computer? if not then the issue is with the URL not being correct.

otherwise we cant do much to help you further as we cant see your install to examine the URL's.

sfr

If I knew best I wouldn't ask. The installation is local I'm not going to go through the trouble of exposing it. I'm a developer as well and yet I don't know it all hence I came here to ask people with more experience about how I can troubleshoot the issue and resolve it. I'd be happy to tell you what you need to know in order to get a better understanding of what is going on and possibly come up with a solution and I bet it would be great for people who are having similar issues to open up the thread see how the troubleshooting process works and learn how to fix issues like that for themselves in the future. But it's okay I don't mind finding a fix on my own.

@Illori
It's a local installation I haven't loaded it anywhere else. I installed a new theme and it works perfectly, however, the two installed default themes do not.

Arantor

Well, post the generated HTML of the index page as well as the local URL you're using. Still need to see what URL the software thinks it should be using for the theme...

Note that I don't care what it says in the admin panel, I care what the software actually spits out.
