Automatically deactivating members accounts at subscription's end

I just discovered that when a subscription that I had manually entered ends, it does not automatically deactivate the member's account.  They stay members until I manually change the subscription to "Finished."  For various reasons, I collect subscription orders and renewals from my website and manually add them to SMF.  How can I get SMF to automatically deactivate members accounts after the end date on their subscription?

Thanks in advance.

Sir Osis of Liver

Paid subs returns member to original membergroup when subscription ends.  Are you moving subscribers to different group when you manually set a subscription?

Membergroups in SMF are used to control permissions and access levels.
Subscriptions make changes to the user's membergroups, not the actual user account's status - the account is active unless deleted (or pending removal if user requested deletion).
There is usually no reason to want to delete or inactivate user accounts after a subscription ends, quite the contrary as that would not allow the users to renew their subscription and would delete your records of past subscriptions kept by SMF.

Lex:  Sorry.  My mistake.  I should have written "They stay members until I manually change the subscription to "Finished."  After the subscription date is up, it still says, "Active."  I meant to say subscription, not account.

Sir Osis: No.

Are your scheduled tasks running and working as expected?
How do you set up the subscriptions?

I think you may have answered my question.  I just checked the scheduled tasks and for some reason the Paid Subscription Checks box is not checked.  So, that's probably why.  I'll put a check in that box and if that doesn't work then I'll report back here.

Thanks so much.
