Redirect after login

Was searching for a way to change where the board redirects after login and found this thread but no final answer:

Maybe it was answered somewhere else?

I can see where it could be irritating if you're in a forum with 4 or 5 (even 2 or 3) sublevels and decided to login and get redirected back to the index and lost your place. Happens to me all the time, horrible..lol!

Is there a way to change the redirect after login?

Maybe it's still on their website?
Also doubt it works with 2.1 out of the box

Thanks thats a good starting place but don't think it will work on 2.1 either!   Last update was September 10, 2015

How do you login?
On my test forum, if I go into a board or a topic, and click the login link in the top bar, and then login using the login popup box, it will stay in the same page after login.

Is this not working for you?

Actually yes (I didn't think it did in my first post, but it does you're right) but what I want is to be able to redirect the login somewhere else after login if it was possible!

Do you mean to redirect your members to a certain url after they log in at your forum? If so, you will need a custom mod for that.
