The AutoEmbedMediaPro.xml, AutoEmbedMediaPro2.xml and AutoEmbedMediaPro2.1.xml install files contains various trailing tabs and/or spaces for added code like e.g. (just to name a few examples):

Are timecodes in the URLs for YouTube broken?

I tried both the new short form youtu.be and youtube.com URLs and neither pass the timecode through to the post.

AM I missing something or is the parsing wrong?

I know we're pretty outdated on our server, so the regex may be deficient.  Ubuntu 16, and PHP 7.0.33 (which can't be resolved in the shorter term).


I should also mention I downloaded and installed the most recent version of this package today.

I can't seem to get Facebook pics or videos to work with this mod. For video I copy the address e.g.

and just paste this into a SMF post and expect the mod to parse it and display the video but the post just shows the code above.

Facebook pics are the same, I copy the url of the pic and post it into an SMF post e.g.

The mod doesn't suppor the direct links to the video file itself or pictures
It supports links that start with https://www.facebook.com/
IE posts.

I think if you put nobbc tags around it. Otherwise you have to change the url enough.

Looks like nobbc tags do not create an active link, just plain text, ie
