Hi All,
have a forum running SMF 2.0.19 and recently I've been getting reports of error messages and delays while posting messages or sending PM's. I just sent a pm to another member and it took around 10 to 20 seconds before the 'message sent successfully' message appeared.
While posting in the forum itself users are getting DB timeout error messages but their message has actually been posted to the forum.
There's nothing in the error logs, I've optimised and repaired the DB (from within SMF admin) but it still happens.
Any suggestions?
On a side note I have another forum running on the same server and it doesn't have this issue.

Many thanks in advance
Michael

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

What was the latest change/modification made to the forum prior to this happening?

Is there anything logged in the error log pertaining to this?

Steve

The OP hasn't been back in 9 days so I'm wondering if the problem is resolved?
DO NOT pm me for support!

Most likely it's a delay/throttle being applied by the host's mail server since the common element in both posting and PMs are notification emails being sent out after the actual work has been done.
