Just opened my forum to the students and first one cannot register.  I was able to register myself ok 10 days ago.

First of all I go this error
The registration agreement file, agreement.txt, is either missing or empty. Registrations have been disabled until this is fixed

So I reuploaded the agreement.txt and then it seemed to work for me.  I asked her to retry and now am getting this
2: file(/home/customer/www/creativediscoveryinpaintshoppro.com.au/public_html/forum/Themes/default/fonts/sound/w.english.wav): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

2: implode(): Invalid arguments passed

Any ideas how I can fix this please
Sandy

Ok - I have tried a few things with the help of my student, back and forth emails.  More things were missing.  But I think I have almost figured out how to fix more things on my own and what I am doing with this forum stuff.

It sounds like you did not get all the files loaded to the server.

Also, though. If this is an internal forum fir your students,  you probably don't need the captcha. Use questions instead,  if you need anti-spam

Thanks for the reply - I have turned off that verification stuff for the moment.  And yes after my initial problems of not getting everything uploaded properly through SiteGround, I did get WinSCP, but there are still some files missing that I am finding.

Site ground... ugh, yeah,  not a great host. We've seen several complaints about files from other sites hosted by them.

I would suggest using ftp to upload a fresh set of files, just to be sure you have them all.

Some hosts run poorly configured security software that will delete some SMF files on upload (GoDaddy for one).  The usual solution is to upload the files using cpanel file manager.  Don't know if that would work on Siteground.

Also as far as FTP clients go, try Filezilla instead of WinSCP.
