Email queue "sleeps". no emails are sent

Hi SMF guys.

I migrated successful from 2.0.19 to 2.1.2.
Only emails doesn't work.
When I send a test email, it works instant.

"Normal" emails are in queue, but the queue doesn't start.

Is it possible to turn off the whole queue? There is no option on the settings tab anymore.

What starts the queue?

the queue runs when there are visits to the forum page(s)...   if you have a site with no traffic, the queue may not run.

hm ok. we are only a few people with very low visits on my site.
strangely, only emails to private messages are queued, thread updates not.

is there any chance to deactivate the queue via php or config file?

you cannot disable the queue any longer. that feature was removed in SMF 2.1.

thread update emails are working now.
