I tried that and there's issues with the pages function.
I have SP running on an ElkArte forum with PHP pages and when tried them on EhPortal, they wont work, no matter what try with the PHP settings in Block Settings page. That's why was hoping SP would be updated.

SP appears to be the only portal that allows a post to be sent to portal block as article.  I've tried TP, Light Portal, ezPortal, none of them do it.  I see EhPortal on github, does it have this feature?  Will it work in 2.0?

EhPortal will not work for the SMF 2.0 branch & SimplePortal has not been updated in a while.
I released a beta update version for SimplePortal some time ago but it had 1 bug report that I neglected to fix as of yet. You can look back in this thread for a possible edit to it until I can do that fix.

I haven't been around much for the last 1.5 years or so.
Life just keeps me busy but I'm still here & plan to keep a few mods supported as long as SMF is still kicking. Perhaps I'll look at that one bug report & put up another beta release tonight as it looks like a simple fix.

You can also put in a request at TP for what you're referring to. The devs were still active for that portal last I checked. They might be able to help you out.

I've installed EH on 2.1 test install, doesn't have the "ADD AS ARTICLE" feature from SP.  Looks good otherwise, but my guy needs that, so we'll probably stay in 2.0.

I've installed EH on a 2.1 install that's connected to a database that contains SP tables.  Good news is it's inherited the block content, bad news is homepage is blank.

Update:  Installs correctly when I remove the 2.0 SP tables.

All SP blocks should work for EHPortal. When I ported it nothing regarding block or page content was changed dB table/column wise except for reserved name usage which was part of the reason I released SP 2.3.8.

This is an entity problem. When data saved/changed in db. If you changes block names or use custom php html you may experience this problem.

FYI; You can have board posts displayed on the front page in TinyPortal. There is a promote to frontpage button.

Set the Frontpage to show Promoted topics. A button will then appear in the forum topics that allows you to promote specific topics to the Frontpage...
