Hello community

Hoping to get some help with this issue.

Everything on my forum went blank after my internet host (web hotel) upgraded to PHP 8.2. I asked them to "downgrade" to PHP 7.2 as I had before, and then I was able to log in. I updated the forum from 2.0.13 to 2.0.19 and everything looked fines for a few days, even after I set the web hotel back til PHP 8.2

Then trying today to access the forum from a web browser (Mac with Safari and Chrome, tried both) the forum is now blank. Just showing a white page, no error messages. But doing the same on my iPhone, I can access the forum with no problem.

I am asking my host to downgrade to PHP 7.2 again, to see if I may find any solution and at least to be able to log in.

Does anybody have any idea about a solution for this?

Kind regards
Inkie, Norway

@rjen

I am pretty sur SMF 2.0 does not support php 8.2

You will have to move to SMF2.1
Running SMF 2.1 with latest TinyPortal at www.fjr-club.nl

Thanks for replies.

I have "downgraded" to PHP 7.4 now (which was functioning alright before) but it is still just a white, blank page now.

Here is the URL: http://forum.inkognito.org/forum (or https://forum.inkognito.org/forum)

It is blank on my Mac, but visible on my iPhone.

What happens if you click on the link? Do you see the content, or just a blank page? I tried to clear, but there is no change here.

I am now trying to upgrade from 2.0.19 to 2.1.3 to make it work with PHP 8

I am getting this error message when running  http://forum.inkognito.org/forum/upgrade.php

It refers to the same version two times in the error message. This does not make sense for me.

And it can't find the script.js file

I have tried to change the upgrade.php file and exchange "$disable_security = false;" with "$disable_security = true;" and uploaded the upgrade file again, but I still get this error message.

Not able to login to any admin account either.

If I could  ask anyone for some help on this, it would be appreciated.

I believe that this is a known issue and that you currently need to switch to English language to do the upgrade

^ This.  And you have to restart upgrade from beginning, not resume from where it left off.

Another thing to check for is that the theme 's urls and paths are pointing to the right location.
