Raising subscription price

I'm running a forum with the build in subscription manager.

I got the problem that I have for example 5 recurring users but when I raise the monthly fee from 5 to 10 euros for example that all recurring members get an error since they still pay 5 euro. Since SMF expects 10 euro it will fail.

What's the best way to handle this? if I disable the old 5 euro membership they will also fail because that subscription is disabled.

What's the best way to still have the old members pay 5 euro and the new (or non automatic payment) members 10 euro?

IIRC, if you make the old subscription inactive existing subscribers are unaffected and recurring payments should continue to work.  If you delete the subscription subscribers are moved back to original group and renewals fail.
