Hi, I moved a topic but forgot to take the tick out of "Post a redirection topic"

SO I then went to the board that the Topic had been moved to and clicked 'Remove' :-[  but now I have an error message in the original board that says:

"An error has occurred
The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."

I know I caused the issue and I won't do it again BUT how do I remove the message, I have run all the repair routines & it just wont go away...

I would also like to change the setting so that the option to post a re-direction topic is not offered and it is just moved if possible?

I am an administrator on the system (for my sins) & we are running SMF 2.1.3

In your profile, look and layout settings, turn on quick moderation and you will be able to remove the redirect topic without entering it, directly from the board index.

I prefer quick moderation as checkboxes myself, as it allows things like removing multiple topics at once if needed.

Many thanks for the prompt reply, I am sure this will work & I know that i will need this method in the future even though I have limited who can move posts BUT as it is a new forum I was able to move ALL the other posts out of the board, delete the board & then move them back BUT I won't be able to do that in the future...

Is there a way to disable the option of asking if a redirection post is requied?

I don't think it's configurable, sorry - But it is optional, and you can just uncheck the box if and when you move a topic.
But you shouldn't need to move around whole boards, you can just delete the redirect.
