Accidentally edited a user's post using quick edit, and now can't undo it

Hey all! So, I was doing an edit of someone's post in the forum I help moderate, and it changed to show the user's post as my own, which I really don't want. I can't seem to be able to undo this, as there's a check box, but no actions I can do in the Moderation section. Is there a way to reset it and remove the edits I had made?

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

That does not, or at least should not, happen on a vanilla SMF - There is no option to do that on purpose even, let alone by mistake.
Also, there is no edit history to fall back to, so edits made are final.

What mods do you have installed?

SMF version?

There is no way for that to happen in core SMF. There is not even an option to change the original poster information that would accidentally be triggered

oh, true...

if the Original Poster remained correct, but you are talking about the small note in post indicating "last edit by USERNAME" (see post by Aleksi, above, to see my edit note)

if THAT is the issue -- then there WAS a mod in 2.0 which removed the last edit note if the edit was done by an admin, but I don't think that it was ever updated for 2.1.

I will admit, I am not the IT person in charge of the forum nor a full admin of the site.  So, I hope I'm getting things right. These are what I see on my main administration page.

You need to go into the Package Manager to see the full list of MODs.
From the Admin > Main > Package Manager.
