The demo forum doesn't look like the icon. (even when changing to the correct theme with the style changer)
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

.Darkman

yes
actually i made the theme as in the icon.
but then found that it was not working well in tp.
so i changed it.

sorry
i'll soon change the icon

The thumbnail looks allot better than the theme in my opinion.
The theme itself is ok, but layout wise it could be more original.
Also I think the 3 header boxes are from my BlackDay theme and the buttons are Andrea's Simple Black Mini Buttons?
Give credit where it is due.

penguin007

This is a ripped theme. :o
Original creator is Zeus00 from IFSZ
His original theme can be found at hxxp:s14.invisionfree.com/TrySkinForum123/index.php [nonactive]?
Also pls give some credits to the original creator/designer at the bottom of ur site and dun claim any themes/designs which u did not make as yours. ;D

so in truth this theme shouldn't really be here.
The original also wouldn't be too hard to port to SMF, but I don't think this classifies for a port.

EDIT: Also I love the thing in the guy's signature that says "Specializing in SMF Themes" lol!

.Darkman

don't shout in jelousy penguin and nesianstyles.
i have the right to convert ifsz skins for smf ;D

If this is a port of a another theme permission from original author has to be aquired.

Do you have permission from Zeus00 to use this on SMF?

So the difference in headers, is yours is formatted differently, but in essence exactly the same code (except for the banner, which would be easily added). I released BlackDay ages ago with that header. Also note that SlickBlue uses the same header.

I spend time coding that header, because I did it in an odd way back then (it wouldn't take me long now, but that one was poorly formatted).

So even if you do have permission from the original author,
you still are using my header code and andrea's black mini buttons without any credit given and any permission.

erm..I don't think that header code can really be regarded as "yours" nesianstyles. It seems to be more or less the babylon layout - with news box and statsbox setup like that.

Graphics on the other hand is quite another matter. Using buttonsets released here should be mentioned with credit to author.

A few people seem to think that, but really it is totally different from the babylon layout.
The only thing the same is what the blocks contain, and where they are themselves.
It uses tables with borders, and acts like the rest of the theme instead of having pointless rounded blocks.
I actually changed it to that so I didn't have to do any extra images, and also it still went with the theme.

bloc

ok.

I see now its used tables instead of table+divs as in babylon. I would still go on a limb and say the "design" is the same though...but fair enough. The question is then, do you have objections to others lending code to build new themes?

Personally I do not have that - some of my themes have been converted and used in several  others, and that perfectly fine. After all, one has to start somewhere. Regardless if its a copy of default or Amber for example.

.Darkman

Now what's the big point here.
the codes i used are done by editing babylon's with a few ideas from blackday.
but that doesn't mean i should give full code-credit for you nesianstyles.
as for buttons andrea released it for public use only.

I personally don't, but I would like to ether be asked or have some form of credit.
Also, just cause Andrea released it for public use doesn't mean you don't have to give credit.
As you can see in BlackDay, where I used those buttons I gave credit at the bottom.

bloc

I never said that public buttons can be used without credit? I said "thats another matter", meaning its more clear that they should come with a credit.
