There's no release date set. It'll just be a scramble when it is released. ;)

I noticed a clean install was better then upgrading.
I have difficluty with TP in an upgrade but new install went smooth as it could have.

Agreed :)

Just upgrade my SMF Board from RC 2 to RC 3 last month and everything seems to be working well :)

I've tried to download any of the upgrade versions and they are all empty to me for some reason. I get a zip, tar.gz, and tar.bz2 file that is of 0kb. Anyone else having this issue?

Thats so wierd... I don't understand why it would be the firewall. I can view www.simplemachines.org just fine.  :( I'll try and see if I can DL from a computer from work.

<edit>
WIERD WIERD WIERD it works while using a connection outside of my house!!  >:( :(I'll have to figure that one out sometime.

Norton Firewall/Norton Internet Security has the tendency to mess up with downloads if you read the download notice :P

If this is the wrong section to ask this question I apologize in advance.  I installed 1.1 R3 and am now getting this error when going into the admin section under "Current Theme" or "Themes and Layout".
