I've just installed the new SMF 1.1.2 version.
And I'm still encountering these 2 problems, please assist. Thanks in advance.

1st error:
When I clicked on the Mark as read:

An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Do just that, log out and back in again.
>>> I have tried but it still doesn't work.

I am having this problem too, i am using Aquamania Skin.

I'm using 1.1.1. version and I have a problem trying to upgrade directly from the link in the admin section.

When I click that link, I have to login EVEN if I'm already logged.
When I log in, I'm out of the admin secton.
And again, and again, if I retry.

Why?
Anyone experienced the same problem?

okay, stupid question perhaps, if I download the upgrade going from 1.1 RC3 to 1.1.2  I will lose my mods?   As it says to upload the files via FTP, I would imagine I would lose the mods then?   Clear this up for me?

I have the same question too! Upgrade from 1.1.RC3 to 1.1.2. Running TP 0.9.6 beta. Any ramifications on my MODS (about half a dozen). I'll hate to lose them. Thanks!

hey people i feel i am stuck . i have 1.1 rc2 with mods:
1.     SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update     1.0
2.    SMF 1.1 RC2 Security Patch - 2    1.1 RC2

but now i am not able to upgrade to 1.1.2
when i try the package at the download page for smf 1.1 it shows after uploading

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

i even tried to update to 1.1.1 but am not able to do that either ...
can anyone plz tell me if there is any need for update and is it possible for me to upgarade without loosing too much of sleep over it....

I got the following errors:  ???

Execute Modification     ./Sources/ManageRegistration.php       Test failed
Execute Modification    ./Sources/Register.php                            Test failed
Execute Modification    ./Sources/Subs-Graphics.php                 Test failed
Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/Register.template.php      Test failed

Loads of mods installed! How would I determine which mod I would have to uninstall!  Or is it a case of looking in "List Files" for matches?

Thanks for any help! Sorry if I missed something!

I dunno!

I updated but now the visual confirmation and the sound does not match
for example the visual confirmation asks for the  RGHMG  but when you click to hear the sound
She only says RGH

We upgraded from 1.0.5 to 1.1.2. We also have the same 2 problems listed above. I get the following message when I "Mark as Read" even if I log out and log back in again.

An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Additionally, "New" takes me to the first post on the first page, even if I just read through all 8 pages of the thread and then a new post is made.

This is happening consistantly with all of my users.

I'm having the same issues. Any resolve?

Click on "Registration" under the Members section in the Admin menu. Then click the settings tab on top.
Tim

Thanks.  But when I do that, all I see is a box to disable the visual verification, not to change the difficulty levels.  What am I missing?   ???

dragonfly - i use the Aa Damage theme and the option is not there.  i went ahead and set the theme to the smf core, made the adjustment to what type of visual verification i liked, saved it and then set it back to the Aa Damage theme and the visual verification was how i set it - the new way.  just seems like a very small workaround.  hope this helps

I want to re-emphasize something that's really REALLY bugging me about this.  You guys issued an update.  Just two weeks before that update I loaded 1.1.1, now you've released 1.1.2.  Great. Update went great. EXCEPT.. yeah there's that word - language files.

Now I've seen numerous responses to this, and you keep telling your subscribers to "update their language files". Well, I didn't load any language files. I loaded a new, fresh 1.1.1.  So then why do I need to go to the extra work?  Sounds to me like you guys left something out of your update and rather than face the music you tell everyone to update their language files.  Hey, that wasn't in the instructions of the update, that you'd have to get some other update to update the updater of the updated update.

So, I'm screaming this again, as I did in this post:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=142448.new#new

Why don't you guys get a new story?  If you're going to issue an update, and it doesn't work, instead of giving me beef about updating the language files the VERY LEAST you can do is direct me to a link to find those files along with instructions on updating them.

Yeah, I'm pissed, you don't get a new Chevy, get the seat belts recalled and have them replaced, just to find out they took out the seats and you've got to replace them yourself! What kind of crap is that????

Rhuggs,

I believe you post was misread. It happens. When you are helping others and been reading posts all day words might transpose or jump around. I am sorry you had a bad experience.
I replied to your post with some useful information though :)

In registration > settings after update there is a new captcha for admins.
But why there isn't no explanation to the function?

A blank space.

Ps: I have not anyone captcha mod installed.

Kelly

I'm still getting password errors with the new release.

Thanks Sleepy!  I appreciate your response. Motoko-chan explained it to me and I verified that the information was correct, and maybe needs to be shared with others seeing this minor problem.  I loaded my SMF forum via Fantastico, which I did confirm loads a slew of language files.  So, there ya go, I appreciate your candor on these forums and for allowing me to air my issue without you guys getting angry at me in return!

You done good!  Thanks again, back to update my language files now and I'll just shut up...lol
