Hey guys. I installed the youtube mod on v1.1.2 in the hope that it may work but sadly not.

I was wondering if there was a timeframe for a compatible version to be released?

Also, I was wondering why this would happen even though I copied the youtube.gif file into all theme directories:

Edit: the first image is of when the page loads, the second is of while it's lodading.

bilbojr

I get what you see in the first pic when using firefox

Daniel Marquard

Coaxus and bilbojr, you're not using my mod with SMF's default theme.  Move youtube.gif over from ./Themes/default/images/bbc to ./Themes/[theme name]/images/bbc.

bilbojr

Actually it is the default theme I have never changed it.

bilbojr

I looked thru and I didn't see the gif in any of the themes, I manually uploaded it.

bilbojr

I got it the sub.php and Modifications.english.php were never edited for some reason.

You could make the changes manually, if the problem persists.

Ahh! I didn't realise it had to go in the bbc folder. :P

Thanks - it's all working perfectly now. :)

Hello, I've got a problem with this mod, too.

I have installed it and written the tags in the right way (so I think) but there is no Video.
Is somebody able to help me? Link to the Thread: http://hardwarecrew.com/forum/index.php?topic=1646.msg2809 ;)

(Please excuse my bad englsh.)

Your tags are formatted properly and working. I even copied one to my own forum which has the mod installed and working and it played fine.

I noticed that you aren't using the default core theme, I can only assume that this is the problem.

If you installed the mod with package manager on smf then it will only be installed to the default core theme. You will have to extract the package contents and manually edit and place the code for the mod into the relevant files for your theme.

When you create a new topic, do you see the YouTube button?  It may not be installed properly.

The YouTube code itself works with any theme.  The only possible theme modification would be to Post.template.php, should your custom theme have it.

Yes, I see it, but it doesn't work. I have just reinstalled the mod, but that's not the solution (look at the pic).
What shell I do?  ???

Did you originally install the mod and later upgrade to a newer version of SMF?

No, at first I've installed the mod and later the upgrade to 1.1.2 - but a reinstall after the upgrade didi'nt help.

So how close are we to the next version?, the one that will allow you to put the whole youtube address rather than the last bit of code.

That will take a decent amount of time that I don't have, at least at this point.  To be completely honest with you, I haven't the slightest clue when it will be ready for public release.
