I am using the default theme. Is it possible to change the layout of the Home Page so I can include some Topics also? Currently it only shows the main Posts/Categories. Location of my forum is http://invictatrader.com/forums here.

Take a look at using a portal modification

Or Using SSI is another decent start. Either will deliver more information from posts etc.
