Package Problem

Hi,
everytime I try to install a package I get this The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
any help?

Some mods declare what versions of SMF it should install for.

Getting a mod to work could be as easy as adding your SMF version in the package-info.php of the mod package.

Edit: package-info.php is what I meant not package_info.php!

but how can I edit that? Im dling it from smf site in package manager

Well you will need to download the package to your computer and open the package-info.php file and change the: <install for=" "> to add your version. Please note, the mod still may give you failure notices even after changing this. Especially if you are using SMF 1.1. If you get a Failure notice for any of the files, I would not recommend going through with installing the mod.
