I have a user that reported to me today that all of his posts have been deleted. I cannot seem to find a reason why they are gone but one of my moderators reported receiving an e-mail that stated a post he was following had been removed by a user that just signed up the previous day.

Don't understand how a regular user could delete another users posts.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are there some logs somewhere I can check to see exactly who deleted the posts?

I actually found a backup of the database that I made a week ago and I was wondering is it possible to just restore the users missing posts? I do not want to restore the entire database.

Hi, there should be a log of moderator's actions in the Admin CP.

Also, do you have a recycle board set up? If so, any deleted posts should end up there.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

"recycle board set up"  probably not because I don't know what that is.

I can't seem to find any logs either. Looked in administrative control panel and there's no log showing things that have been deleted.

Both probably need to be emabled.

Admin CP > Features and Options > Log moderation actions, (needs to be checked)

Admin CP > Boards > Settingss > Enable recycling of deleted topics. By enabling this any deleted posts will go to the specified board.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.
